Marinade
- 50 ml soy sauce
- 2 cloves garlic (crushed)
- 3 slices of ginger
- 1 tbsp shaoxing wine
- 1 tbsp honey
- 1 tbsp oyster sauce
- 200 ml water
Instructions
- Poke holes at top and bottom of egg
- Add 1 tbsp vinegar to boiling water, put eggs in, boil for 6 mins, take out and soak in cold water
- Combine ingredients for marinade, bring to a boil and allow to cool
- Peel away egg shells and put, with marinade, into a plastic bag
- Occasionally move eggs around for even colouring
- Marinade for at least 2 hours or overnight.
